Gift of Inspiration #2
Are you happy with your life? Hi Love, Quote of the Week "There is more hunger for love and appreciation in this world than for bread" --Mother Teresa I begin this day asking myself "Am I happy with my life" and so I ask you "Are you happy with your life? Did you know it is as simple as flipping a coin to change it? What, you say? She has gone over the deep end. Life is not that easy to change. Well, we will now go into details that you can easily follow to accomplish a happier life, providing all that you need--whether it be health, wealth, or a better relationship to yourself or others. If I did not believe this myself, I would not be writing this now. We must first have faith. Faith in the father, the Supreme Being or whatever it is your faith aspires to and know through that faith that all things are possible. We must, each morning upon arising, continually repeat that following to ourselves: " With faith I can accomplish and overcome whatever I may face this day, for I am a part of all that is." We have now set our course for the day; we have cleared the fear and apprehension we might have felt. The next important step is to know exactly what you desire, for we set thoughts into action and motion and thoughts are things--mind over matter, so to speak. Take your time and determine exactly what you desire, and then set the mental picture into action. Last week I spoke of defining your goals and taking action. Did you take this action? A mental picture is a form of photography. Since we want a positive life and want to bring to ourselves the beautiful life, we must not accept negative pictures. When an unwelcome thought occurs, producing a negative picture, we must wipe it out. If a word is spoken that makes you envision an unpleasant picture in your mind, you must be emphatic about it and affirm, "This does not belong to me; this is alien to me. Cancel it. Cancel it." Then you do not acknowledge or accept the negativity, and this will stop it. The source of negative thoughts, of course, is a negative mind, which can create unpleasant and unsatisfactory events in your life. You must try by the above affirmations to have a positive mind, and when you slip back into your old negative patterns you must take yourself in hand and repeat the affirmations noted in the above paragraphs. Be absolutely certain that you desire what you visualize, and make sure that you see the picture of what you desire moving. The reason so many of our prayers or visualizations do not materialize is that we do not make them move; there is no action. See yourself making that last payment to your home, your car; see yourself standing before audiences talking to them, enjoying yourself as you do so--if that is part of your desire. See the exact amount of money needed to run your home being placed into your hand each week. Whatever it is that you need, visualize it. Eat it, sleep it, and talk about what it is you desire. Are all of you inspired or sick of hearing about accomplishing desires? Do you choose the positive or the negitive? You have a choice. You must concentrate upon the thing you most desire and hold a positive picture of this desire. You must have the faith that the Superior Being can create anything and that all things are bountiful, that you are in your truth, that it can be accomplished. Remember, you must know exactly what you desire, visualize it, and hold a positive picture, knowing it can and will come about. It is in this manner that you picture perfect health, happiness and prosperity for yourself and those you love. If it is money you need, not so that you might save or collect, but truly need, you must picture yourself actually counting that money and at the same time giving praise and thanks for the money. If it be clothing or a car that you need, bless the old car, the old coat or dress, or whatever piece of clothing you need to replace, for the good the old one has done. In being grateful and thankful for all that you have been blessed with, you receive that which you need. In giving thanks for the blessings you hope to receive, acting as though you have already received the blessing completes the picture and then, you have set into motion the reality of your dreams being fulfilled. This is a form of fantasy or make believe which may sound foolish to some, but ask one who has been successful in his/her field of endeavor and they will tell you to set a goal and work with all your heart and soul to accomplish it, which in reality is the only way to succeed. This is success based on the mental plane of expression. The mental picture is more lasting if it is accompanied with prayer. And upon those who have asked about changing the negative to positive in ones relationships to your children, spouses, partners or special beings in your life, I say to you, all are whole; all are good. A child who is naughty, if told repeatedly he is good, will soon be a good child. Seek out the good qualities of the person, never the bad. He will soon see himself, see his own discords in comparison with his good harmony. Never say, "I recognize a miss in your motor," so to speak; better to observe, "I notice you keep your car in good condition." It really pays! your friend might say, "Didn't you notice? The motor is missing a little; I have to get it fixed." Just make him proud to own such a car and then he will seek perfection. He will take better care of it in the future. Nothing is ever learned by pointing out someone's flaws to them. The wisest of us can never accept criticism. This must be one of the pillars of your foundation. If criticism is needed, start first with two compliments. Close your ears to discord. Try to live love. Build up; never feel free to remove one brick from another's foundation. Diplomacy is to be used with love. If you see through the eyes of love, sinners appear to be saints. They themselves will admit to being wrong. Counter with, "So what? You are reborn each day. The past is gone; the future is a far distant time. This is the day to live as you desire to live. Your yesterdays will be washed clean. Your tomorrows will loom ahead as bright as pinnacles shining in the sunlight. Every day is your jewel to dull or polish to the brightest hue. Every day becomes a song. The future is eagerly awaited. When anything distracts you, remind yourself, This is My Day! This little insignificant trouble will not mar my jewel." Thank you Bess, our teachers and guides, for the awareness and words bestowed upon me so that I may do the same to create a new direction and a new path to follow.
